Christian Pulisic, Yunus Musah to face AS Roma in Europa League quarterfinals

Two of Serie A’s finest will square off for a spot in the UEFA Europa League semifinals.

Christian Pulisic, Yunus Musah, and AC Milan will take on AS Roma in April’s quarterfinal round, UEFA announced Friday during its draw. AC Milan and AS Roma are two of three Serie A representatives in the quarterfinals and will be joined by Atalanta in the final eight.

AC Milan brushed aside Czech Republic side Slavia Prague 7-3 on aggregate Thursday, earning a 3-1 second leg victory away from home. Pulisic shined for Stefano Pioli’s men, scoring once and registering one assist, continuing a positive run of form in the squad.

It marked the third-consecutive match in which Pulisic found the back of the net, taking his goal contributions up to 19 across all competitions.

Musah logged a strong 90 minutes in midfield, making his third Europa League appearance in the process. In total, the 21-year-old midfielder has made 31 combined appearances this season, registering one assist.

AC Milan remains one of the favorites to win the competitions after dropping down from the UEFA Champions League in December.

The Europa League quarterfinal round will take place between April 11-18.
