Chuma Okeke and Cavaliers Reach Agreement on Contract

The Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to a deal with Chuma Okeke. The signing fills the Eastern Conference leaders’ final open roster spot as they prepare for the playoffs.

Okeke has spent most of this season in the G League with the Westchester Knicks, where he averaged 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. He also appeared in seven games for the Philadelphia 76ers earlier this season, posting averages of 6.9 points and 6.1 rebounds.

Okeke was originally selected with the 16th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft by the Orlando Magic. Okeke spent his first three professional seasons in Orlando before bouncing between NBA rosters and the G League this year.
