According to sources at The Athletic, Mike Krzyzewski has been an unofficial resource for the Los Angeles Lakers during their head coaching search.
In 2004, Krzyzewski almost became the head coach of the Lakers with a five-year, $40 million contract offer.
One of the candidates under consideration by the Lakers is J.J. Redick, who played at Duke under Krzyzewski.
