The Chicago Bears won a game that most teams would’ve lost in Week 1.
The Tennessee Titans were the better team, but a costly mistake by Will Levis and a strong defensive performance by the Bears eventually helped them get the win.
Caleb Williams was a non-factor and was far from impressive in the win.
Now, Colin Cowherd believes they’re looking at three consecutive losses.
Talking on The Herd, he showed concerns about the fact that Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze didn’t practice because of injuries.
He reviewed their calendar, and he doesn’t see them getting past the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, and definitely not past the Los Angeles Rams.
More than that, he doubled down on his prediction of Bo Nix having the best rookie season among quarterbacks, as he’s the only one with an offensive coach.
He’s worried about Williams and who might help him turn things around in Chicago, as he’s struggled a lot with consistency thus far.
Counting the preseason, Williams has completed just 24 of 49 passes and has a passer rating of 64.9.
Needless to say, that’s far from ideal, especially considering all the hype and expectations around the prized rookie.
Granted, all rookie quarterbacks go through growing pains, and as talented as Williams clearly is, he’s not going to be the exception to that rule.
But unless the Bears’ defense continues to show up and make big plays, this team’s chances of winning more games in the first month of the regular season seem slim at the moment.
