Davante Adams is back in the game, and it couldn’t come at a better time for the New York Jets.

After sitting out three games with the Las Vegas Raiders due to a nagging hamstring injury, Adams is fully recovered and ready to make his mark against the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday night.

Maybe there’s something in that crisp New Jersey air that Las Vegas just couldn’t provide.

The Jets, currently sitting at 2-4, are itching to break their three-game losing streak.

With Adams now in their arsenal, NFL analyst Colin Cowherd sees them as the cream of the 2-4 crop and is backing them to topple the Steelers in Week 7.

On a recent segment of “The Herd,” Cowherd didn’t mince words: “I think it’s an inspired Jets team getting Davante Adams, which increases and improves Aaron Rodgers’ mood. I think they should have beaten Buffalo.”

He went on to predict, “Jets win, 27-20.”

Cowherd’s confidence isn’t unfounded. He points to the Jets’ offensive renaissance since demoting Nathaniel Hackett, praising their newfound dynamism.

With Adams in the mix, Cowherd envisions a feast of red zone opportunities.

But it’s not just about the offense. The analyst also tipped his hat to the Jets’ sturdy defense, particularly their ability to shut down the passing game.

Meanwhile, he noted the Steelers’ recent offensive woes, having dropped two of their last three and struggling to find rhythm in both their ground and air attacks.

Let’s not forget how close the Jets came to upsetting Buffalo.

As Sunday night approaches, all eyes will be on MetLife Stadium to see if Adams and the Jets can live up to the hype and turn their season around.
