Danielle Collins has rocketed up the rankings in the last two months, rising from outside the Top 70 in early February to the Top 20 on Monday.

The American, who claimed her second of back-to-back titles on Sunday in Charleston, and stretched her career-best winning streak to 13, rises to No.15 in this week’s WTA rankings. Collins, 30, is into the Top-20 for the first time since January of 2023.

In the midst of her final WTA season, Collins will head to the red clay of Europe where she will look to extend her winning streak and head into her final Roland-Garros with positive momentum.

The American wasn’t the only woman making a ranking milestone on Monday April 8.

Townsend, Parry Hit Career Highs

Diane Parry and Taylor Townsend each made career-high rankings, with 21-year-old Parry making her Top 50 debut at No.49 (+2 from 51), while Townsend jumped 11 spots to hit a career-best No.57. Townsend’s previous peak came nearly six years ago, when she was at No. 61 in August of 2018.

Townsend, who became a mother to son Adyn Aubrey in March of 2021, is now the third highest-ranked mom on tour behind No. 18-ranked Elina Svitolina and No.25-ranked Victoria Azarenka.

Osorio Jumps 22

It was also a good week for Bogota champion Camila Osorio, who jumped 22 spots back to No.63 in the rankings. The 22-year-old, a former World No.33, is a two-time Bogota champion.

“I’ve been struggling a lot the last few years with injuries and other things,” Osorio told WTA Insider Courtney Nguyen after winning the title. “But now that I get my second title, it’s just an amazing feeling for me, a relief also.

“I know I need to keep working harder. There are other things I still want to do in tennis.”

Swiatek: 98 Weeks And Counting

Iga Swiatek is closing in on a milestone 1000 weeks at No.1 this month. The 22-year-old Pole is into her 98th week atop the WTA rankings, which moves her into a tie with Lindsay Davenport on the WTA’s all-time weeks at No.1 list.

Next on the list for Swiatek to catch? Justine Henin, 117 weeks and Ashleigh Barty, 121 weeks.
