Colts Release Update on Running Back Jonathan Taylor

Colts Provide Update On Jonathan Taylor

Over the past three seasons, Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor has struggled with injuries, and during that time has played in 25 of a possible 41 games.

When he has been healthy, however, he has still been one of the NFL’s biggest offensive threats on the ground.

The Colts face a big road game in Week 8 against the Houston Texans, and a win would put them into first place in the AFC South.

Fortunately for Indianapolis, Taylor, who has been dealing with an ankle injury, was a full participant in practice, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

In four games this season, Taylor has run for 349 yards and four touchdowns, and his 87.3 rushing yards per game ranks fifth in the league.

Indianapolis got some more good news on the injury front when wide receivers Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs returned to practice after sitting out the day before.

Even with Taylor missing the past three games, the Colts have won two in a row, against the Tennessee Titans and Miami Dolphins.

With all the depth throughout the AFC, the Colts cannot afford to lose any games they’re supposed to win if they are to have any real shot at making the playoffs, let alone finishing first in their division.

After facing the Texans, they will have two more tough games, at the Minnesota Vikings and hosting the Buffalo Bills, who recently added Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper.
