3SKL newcomer KK Elektra Sostanj strengthened their roster with the addition of experienced 41-year-old 187cm point guard Nejc Strnad, for the 2024-25 season. Strnad played most recently at Zlatorog in 2SKL, helping his team earn promotion to Liga Nova KBM. In 30 2SKL games last season, he averaged 7.4ppg, 3.1rpg, and 4.0apg. Strnad is expected to have more playing time in 3SKL, providing a good match for his skills. He also contributed to his team winning the 2SKL title.

In the previous 2022-23 season, Strnad played for Terme Olimia in Liga Nova KBM, averaging 4.0ppg, 1.4rpg, and 2.4apg in 30 games. He played a part in his team reaching the Slovenian Cup Semifinals.

Strnad has a wealth of experience, having played professionally in Greece, Hungary, Italy, and Slovenia. Among his accolades, he was named to the Eurobasket.com Slovenian 2SKL All-Defensive Team in 2019.

This season with Elektra may be one of the last in his long career.
