Valencia Basket (Liga Endesa) added to their roster 27-year old Croatian international point guard Goran Filipovic (183cm-1996, agency: 011 Sports). Filipovic played last season at Igokea in Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. In 14 Division I games he recorded 12.6ppg, 2.1rpg, 3.4apg and 1.1spg. Filipovic helped them to win the league title. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week. He also played 8 games in ABA League where he averaged 14.6ppg, 2.1rpg, 3.4apg and 1.1spg. The other team he played that season for was Arriva Polski Cukier Torun in Polish OBL. In 21 games he had very impressive stats: 15.5ppg, 3.1rpg, 5.6apg and 1.1spg.
Filipovic has been also a member of Croatian international program for some years. He has regularly played for Croatian senior team since 2021 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2016.
Filipovic represented Croatia at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in Piraeus (Greece) this year. His stats at that event were 4 games: 5.3ppg, 2.3rpg, 3.0apg, FGP: 25.0%, 3PT: 46.2%, FT: 50.0%.
He is quite experienced player. Filipovic has played also professionally in Romania (Craiova), Croatia (Split and KK Cedevita Junior Zagreb) and Spain (Coruna). He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Bosnia and Herzegovina League Guard of the Year back in 2019 and 2020.
