Aris Thessaloniki (GBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 20-year old international power forward Lefteris Mantzoukas (207cm-2003) for season 2024-25. Mantzoukas has played for the last four years at Panathinaikos in the GBL. In 20 games he recorded 3.8ppg and 2.0rpg last season. He helped them to win the league title (in both Greek League and Euroleague !!!) and they also played in the Supercup final. Mantzoukas also played 14 games in Euroleague where he averaged just 1.9ppg and 1.0rpg. He contributed to his team winning the Euroleague championship despite they ended the regular season at the second place.
Mantzoukas has been also a member of Greek international program for some years. He has regularly played for Greek senior team since 2023 and previously for U16 National Team back in 2019.
Mantzoukas represented Greece at the FIBA U20 European Championship in Greece last year. Mantzoukas’ team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 7 games: 16.4ppg, 6.9rpg, 2.3apg, FGP: 50.8%, 3PT: 28.8%, FT: 40.0%.
He has played previously for three other teams: Olympiacos, Promitheas and Promitheas.
Despite young age he had impressive career. Mantzoukas received Eurobasket.com All-Greek A1 Most Improved Player of the Year award and was voted to Eurobasket.com Greek A1 All-Domestic Players Team in 2023.
