Elitzur Ironi Ashkelon (National League) added 29-year old Belgian-American ex-international forward Michael Gilmore (208cm-95kg-1995, college: VCU) to their roster for the 2024-25 season. Gilmore is the second import player on the team, with USA Devon Scott having signed earlier.

He played last season at Liaoning Flying Leopards in the Chinese CBA league, as well as for Openjobmetis Varese in Italian Serie A. Gilmore has had a diverse professional career, playing in various leagues and countries around the world.

His team reached the NBA G League Semifinals in 2022. Gilmore graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2019 and will be entering his sixth season as a professional player. He also played for Florida Gulf Coast University for one year.
