Apoel Nicosia (OPAP Basket League) inked 25-year old Greek 184cm point guard Georgios Varsos, agency: Octagon Europe for upcoming season. Varsos has played for the last two years at Anorthosis. In 18 OPAP Basket League games in Cyprus he recorded 11.7ppg, 3.4rpg and 2.9apg last season. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also played in the Supercup final. They also advanced to the league semifinals. Great season indeed as he was voted to Cyprus League All-Star Game.
