The most important game in the last round took place in Siroki Brijeg between third ranked Bosna (4-4) and fourth ranked Siroki (5-3) on Wednesday night. Bosna was defeated by Siroki in a tough game on the road 67-76. 27 personal fouls committed by Bosna helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Croatian point guard Martin Junakovic (188-1994, agency: PEPI SPORT) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 9 assists. American forward Carlos Pepin (201-2000, college: ESU) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners.
Siroki’s coach Ivan Velic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international forward Jure Zubac (203-1995, agency: PEPI SPORT) replied with 17 points and 9 rebounds for Bosna. Siroki have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Bosna at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost.
Division I top team – Igokea (6-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Sloboda (3-5) in Tuzla 79-69. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international forward Marko Josilo (200-1992) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists and Dragan Milosavljevic who added 17 points during the contest. Igokea’s coach Vladimir Jovanovic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games.
Guard Asim Gutic (190-2001) responded with 20 points. Defending champion maintains first position with 6-2 record, which they share with Borac. Sloboda lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with five games lost.
