Defending champion Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana (Liga Nova KBM) added to their roster 29-year old Lithuanian international center Martinas Geben (208cm-107kg-1994, college: Notre Dame) for new 2024-25 season. Geben has played for the last two years at BAXI Manresa in Spanish Liga Endesa. In 36 games he recorded 8.3ppg and 4.2rpg last season.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Skyliners in German BBL where in 6 games he averaged 14.3ppg, 7.0rpg, 3.0apg, 1.2spg and 1.0bpg in that year.
He has been also a member of Lithuanian international program for some years. Geben has regularly played for Lithuanian senior team since 2018 and previously for University National Team back in 2017.
He also represented Lithuania at the World University Games in Taipei (Taiwan) seven years ago. His team won Gold and his stats at that event were 8 games: 10.4ppg, 7.5rpg, 1.8apg, 1.1bpg, FGP: 54.0%, FT: 71.4%.
Geben has played previously professionally in Germany (Brose Bamberg) and Lithuania (Zalgiris and Juventus).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Lithuanian LKL Domestic Player of the Year back in 2019.
He graduated from University of Notre Dame in 2018 and it will be his seventh season as a professional player.
