Ninth-ranked Cholet Basket (15-16) gave second-ranked Paris Basket (23-7) a tough time in a close game on Wednesday. Paris Basket narrowly secured a 92-90 victory, with American-North Macedonian point guard TJ Shorts leading the way with 25 points and 6 assists. Justin Simon also contributed 11 points and 7 rebounds for Paris. Even though Cholet committed 26 personal fouls, they put up a strong fight with Enzo Goudou-Sinha producing 14 points and 7 assists. Paris Basket sits in second place with an 11-game winning streak, while Cholet remains in ninth place.
In another game, fifth-ranked JSF Nanterre (19-12) suffered a 87-82 defeat against seventh-ranked Saint-Quentin (16-15). Nate Johnson was instrumental in Saint-Quentin’s victory with 23 points, while Will Rayman added 12 points and 8 rebounds. Justin Bibbins led Nanterre with 21 points and 4 steals. Saint-Quentin moves up to sixth place, tied with Le Portel, while Nanterre holds onto the fifth position.
Chalon/Saor claimed a close 95-92 victory over ADA Blois in another exciting match-up. Demonte Harper was the star of the game, scoring an impressive 36 points and 5 rebounds for Chalon/Saor. Rion Brown led Blois with 19 points. Chalon/Saone and Dijon now share the thirteenth spot in the standings.
Other games in the round ended predictably, with Bourg defeating Levallois 101-82, Dijon beating Le Portel 92-80, Limoges dominating Gravelines 88-63, ASVEL outscoring Nancy 83-58, and Le Mans beating Strasbourg 80-71.
