Hapoel Shlomo Tel-Aviv (Winner League) added 29-year old American center Johnathan Motley (208cm-104kg-1995, college: Baylor) for season 2024-25. Motley joins another USA player Joe Ragland who is already in the roster.
He has played for the last two seasons at Fenerbahce in Turkish BSL league. In 19 games he recorded 14.5ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.7apg last season. He helped them to win the league title and the cup. He also played 36 games in Euroleague where he averaged 11.2ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.1apg. Motley contributed to his team making it to the Euroleague Final Four.
He is quite experienced player. Motley’s career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in four different countries. Motley tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Russia (Lokomotiv), NBA (Dallas Mavericks, LA Clippers and Phoenix Suns), South Korea (KoGas) and NBA G League (Texas Legends and Ontario Clippers).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Eurobasket.com Turkish League All-Imports Team in 2023.
Motley graduated from Baylor University in 2017 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player.
