KK MZT Skopje Aerodrom (Prva Liga) signed 32-year old Virgin Islander ex-international guard Deon Edwin (192cm-95kg-1992, college: Kent State) for upcoming 2024-25 season. Edwin played last season at Debreceni Egyetem in Hungarian A Division. In 35 games he had 13.3ppg, 5.3rpg, 5.3apg and 1.2spg. 2023-24 was a great season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian A Division Honorable Mention.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Atomeromu (also in A Division) where in 35 games he recorded very impressive stats: 17.5ppg, 6.4rpg, 6.4apg (top 3) and 1.1spg in that year. 2022-23 was a great season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week. He was a member of U.S. Virgin Islands Senior National Team between 2012 and 2022.
Edwin has played also professionally in Finland (KTP-Basket), Ukraine (Khimik, Kyiv Basket and Prometey) and North Macedonia (Rabotnicki).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won Ukrainian Superleague championship title in 2019. He was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Ukrainian Superleague Player of the Year and Eurobasket.com All-Ukrainian Superleague Import Player of the Year back in 2019.
Edwin graduated from Kent State in 2017 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player. He played for other colleges like: Laramie County Community College, University of Southern Mississippi.
