The game between Boulazac Basket and Etoile Angers was a highlight of the last round. Boulazac Basket, ranked third, faced off against seventeenth-ranked Etoile Angers in a tough match that ended with Angers beating Boulazac 71-65. Angers forced 19 turnovers from Boulazac and Senegalese-Spanish center Maodo Nguirane led the way with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Boulazac’s coach tried various rotations but it wasn’t enough to secure a win. With this victory, Angers moved up to sixteenth place, tied with Evreux, while Boulazac suffered their third consecutive loss but maintained the third position along with Rouen.

In another thrilling game, top-ranked La Rochelle took on JA Vichy and emerged victorious with a score of 87-74, breaking Vichy’s six-game winning streak. American guard Tray Buchanan was instrumental in La Rochelle’s win, contributing 13 points, 6 assists, and 4 steals. La Rochelle continues their dominant run with five consecutive victories, keeping them in first place with a 27-4 record. Vichy Clermont remains in second place with seven losses.

Aix-Maurienne caused an upset by defeating higher-ranked ASA in a close game with a score of 99-94. Shaun Willett had an outstanding performance for Aix-Maurienne, recording a double-double with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists. Despite the loss, Carl Ponsar put up 23 points and 5 rebounds for ASA. Aix-Maurienne’s win propelled them to fourteenth place, tied with Denain-Voltaire, while ASA holds onto the ninth position with 17 losses.

Other games in the round ended predictably, with Denain-Voltaire defeating Evreux 87-72, Antibes beating Nantes 103-88, Orleans besting Lille 96-87, Chalons-Reims outscoring St.Chamond 82-62, and EB Orthez defeating bottom-ranked Fos-sur-Mer 87-71. The standout performance of the round came from Mattias Markusson of Fos-sur-Mer, who put up 21 points and 7 rebounds.
