Semt77 Yalova Belediye Spor (BSL) signed 29-year old Czech international power forward Martin Peterka (205cm-100kg-1995) for upcoming 2024-25 season. Peterka played last season at Basketball Loewen Braunschweig in German BBL league. In 33 games he had 6.9ppg and 2.5rpg.
He won Czech Republic League championship title in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 and the cup in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Peterka was voted Eurobasket.com All-Czech Republic 1Liga Player of the Year back in 2016 and 2017.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at SIG Strasbourg in French Betclic ELITE ProA where in 16 games he recorded 3.9ppg and 1.3rpg in that year. He helped them to make it to the French Cup Semifinals. Peterka also played 6 games in Basketball Champions League where he averaged just 2.3ppg and 1.0rpg in that year. The other team he played that season for was Merkezefendi in Turkish BSL. In 9 games he got 6.4ppg and 2.9rpg in that year. Another team he played shortly was FIT/One Wuerzburg Baskets (BBL). In four games he got 5.0ppg and 3.5rpg in that year.
He has been also a member of Czech Republic international program for some years. Peterka has regularly played for Czech Republic senior team since 2016 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2015.
He also represented Czech Republic at the Olympic Games in Tokyo (Japan) three years ago. His stats at that event were 2 games: 2.5ppg, 2.0rpg, 1.0apg, 1.0spg.
