Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul
(BSL) signed experienced 36-year old Serbian ex-international center
Boban Marjanovic
(224cm-132kg-1988) for the upcoming 2024-25 season. Marjanovic has played for the last two years at
Houston Rockets
in the NBA. In 14 games, he had 3.2ppg and 2.3rpg last season.
He was also a member of the Serbian international program for some years. Marjanovic played for the Serbian Senior National Team between 2008 and 2022 and previously for the U20 National Team back in 2008.
He represented Serbia at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) seven years ago. Marjanovic’s team won Silver, and his stats at that event were 9 games: 12.4ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.4apg, FGP: 56.3%, FT: 87.0%.
Marjanovic is a quite experienced player. He has also played professionally in Lithuania (Zalgiris), Russia (PBC CSKA Moscow and BC Pari Nizhny Novgorod), NBA (Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons, LA Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, and San Antonio Spurs), Serbia (Crvena zvezda, Vrsac, BC Mega MIS Beograd, and KK Radnicki 1950 Kragujevac) and NBA G League (Austin Spurs). His team won the Adriatic League Regular Season in 2014 and 2015. Marjanovic was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Adriatic League Center of the Year back in 2014 and 2015.
