B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas (LKL) added to their roster 26-year old French international point guard Sylvain Francisco (185cm-77kg-1997) for season 2024-25. Francisco played last season at Bayern in German BBL league. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 33 BBL games he recorded 11.7ppg, 1.7rpg, 3.2apg and 1.1spg. He helped them to win the league title and the cup. Quite impressive season as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-German Bundesliga Third Team. Francisco also played 33 games in Euroleague where he averaged 10.6ppg, 1.7rpg and 3.2apg.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Peristeri in Greek GBL. In 31 games he got 12.6ppg, 2.9rpg, 5.3apg (top 3) and 1.5spg (in top 5) in that year. He contributed to his team making it to the cup final and to the league semifinals. Francisco also played 9 games in Basketball Champions League where he got remarkable 16.2ppg, 2.1rpg, 5.8apg and 1.8spg in that year.
He represented France at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Franciscolsinki (Finland) eight years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 5.0ppg, 3.1rpg, 2.9apg, 2.0spg.
He is quite experienced player. Francisco has played also professionally in Spain (BAXI Manresa), France (Metropolitans, Chorale de Roanne, Levallois and Paris Basket), SIAA (West Oaks Academy), The Basketball Tournament (Eberlein Drive) and NBA Summer League (Milwaukee Bucks).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-French ProA Honorable Mention back in 2021.
