After drafting quarterback Bryce Young out of the University of Alabama with the top pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers were hoping to begin their attempt to right the ship after trading superstar running back Christian McCaffrey to the San Francisco 49ers and coming to terms with the fact that it was time to rebuild.

Unfortunately for the Panthers, the 2023 NFL season was a rough one for the struggling franchise, as Young really struggled to make an impact in his first season with the team while the team around him didn’t do much to help Carolina win games.

Once the 2023 campaign came to an end for the Panthers, the team had won only two games and seemed to be back to square one, as arguably the worst team in the league and a lot of questions about whether the team made the right choice in drafting Young over the other talented quarterbacks that were available like CJ Stroud, Will Levis and Anthony Richardson.

One big question mark about Young heading into the 2023 NFL season was that he was undersized, with many questioning whether he’d be able to live up to expectations of being a No. 1 overall pick and emerge as a legitimate franchise player.

Fortunately for Young, he can start from scratch in 2024, but the jokes and doubts about his size continue, as he was torched for this clip of him walking into training camp via Dov Kleiman.

Here are some fan reactions to Young’s arrival at Panthers training camp:

The one thing that Young has going for him is that he has no lack of motivation to take his game to another level and prove the doubters wrong in Carolina.

Young will definitely be scrutinized during this upcoming season, as many will wonder if he can make a leap forward.
