Bnei Ofek Dist Hertzeliya (Winner League) tabbed 28-year old American 193cm guard Daeshon Francis (college: UTPB) for a temporary contract until Xavier Sneed, who got injured, is healthy again. He played most recently at BK Ventspils in Latvian LBL league. In 5 games he averaged 5.4ppg, 4.6rpg, 2.4apg and 1.0bpg last season. His team made it to the semifinals. He also played 32 games in Lat-Est BL where he had 11.1ppg, 5.7rpg, 2.6apg and 1.4spg. He was voted All-LSC Player of the Year back in 2017 and 2018. The previous (2022-23) season he played at Moncada Energy Agrigento in Italian Serie A2. In 31 games he recorded 10.5ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.7apg and 1.4spg in that year. In 2019 he was drafted by Rio Grande Valley Vipers (G-League) in the second round (28th overall). The former University of Texas Permian Basin (NCAA Div.II) standout is in his seventh season in pro basketball. Francis is a very experienced player, having also played professionally in Finland, Georgia, Luxembourg, Ukraine, and the NBA G League. His team was the regular season runner-up in the Georgian A League in 2020.
