HKK Siroki Brijeg (Division I) landed 26-year old Croatian 208cm forward Luka Barisic (college: W.Illinois) for new season. Barisic played most recently at Ilirija in Slovenian Liga Nova KBM. In 28 games he averaged 12.1ppg, 4.6rpg and 2.0apg last season. He can count that year as a very successful as was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Slovenian League Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week (2 times). Barisic also played 8 games in Alpe Adria Cup where he had 12.3ppg, 4.1rpg and 2.0apg.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at BC DepoLink Skrljevo in Croatian Premijer Liga. In 26 games he recorded 13.0ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.0apg in that year. He also played 4 games in Alpe Adria Cup where he got 13.3ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.5apg in that year. The other team he played shortly was KK Podgorica Bemax in Montenegrin league. In two ABA League games he got 7.5ppg, 2.5rpg, 2.0apg and 1.0spg in that year. Barisic also played 2 games in Montenegrin Erste Liga where he got 4.5ppg and 4.5rpg in that year.
He represented Croatia at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U18 in Samsun (Turkey) eight years ago. His stats at that event were 6 games: 3.3ppg, 2.0rpg, 1.2apg.
Barisic won NJCAA D1 Region 4 championship title in 2018.
He graduated from Western Illinois University in 2022 and it will be his third season in pro basketball. Barisic played for other colleges like: The University of Texas San Antonio, Highland Community College, Illinois.
