The Dallas Cowboys, after a tumultuous offseason that featured two contract situations and a lack of roster movement, managed to overcome that with a statement win in Week 1 against the hapless Cleveland Browns.

Dallas had no problem taking care of a Cleveland team that looked inept on offense, while they themselves had little issue moving the football.

The Cowboys took an early lead in the game and never looked back, managing the clock well and gashing the Browns for chunk gains when they needed to.

Now, Dallas heads into Week 2 where they’ll take on a stronger opponent in the New Orleans Saints who are also 1-0.

Like most teams, the Cowboys didn’t come away unscathed as they saw a couple of players get hurt in the win against the Browns.

With that in mind, Dallas announced that they elevated a couple of players from their practice squad ahead of their matchup against New Orleans.

“The @dallascowboys elevated LB Nick Vigil and TE Princeton Fant from the practice squad for tomorrow’s game against New Orleans.”

Nick Vigil played sparingly in Week 1 against Cleveland but will get another shot to contribute, while Princeton Fant was brought up after Jake Ferguson was listed as doubtful to play after sustaining a knee injury.

Without Ferguson, Dak Prescott will likely need to lean more on CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks in the passing game, though Fant may draw a target or two with the Saints likely to blanket the wideouts.

Regardless, the Cowboys are still considered the favorites to win and improve to 2-0.
