Crystal Palace's Intriguing Plans: Will They Make a January Play for Brennan Johnson?n

Crystal Palace's plans for January transfer season.

Crystal Palace is gearing up for the January transfer window as they aim to bolster Oliver Glasner’s squad. Currently, the Eagles are performing well in the Premier League and aspire to defend their FA Cup title, as well as claim success in the UEFA Conference League.

Depth in the wing positions is a concern for Glasner, who has limited options with Ismaila Sarr, Yeremy Pino, and Romain Esse as his primary wingers. The club intends to strengthen this area by potentially acquiring Brennan Johnson.

According to Football Insider, Mick Brown has confirmed that Crystal Palace is interested in signing Johnson, as Tottenham is open to letting him leave this January.

“Tottenham will consider offers for Brennan Johnson. It might be a loan or a permanent transfer, as both options align with Tottenham’s interests,” Brown stated. “Palace has been monitoring him, and he is among their top targets. If they receive approval from Tottenham, they could move for him, particularly since they are short on options in his position and the manager has publicly called for reinforcements.”

Will Brennan Johnson Solve Crystal Palace’s Winger Dilemma?

There’s little doubt that Johnson would strengthen Crystal Palace’s roster, especially if they can secure him on loan. However, competition may arise as Aston Villa is reportedly also keen on signing the Welsh international.
