The Dallas Cowboys are in some contract trouble right now.

Their three best players are all entering the final years of their current contracts.

Pro Bowl quarterback Dak Prescott, All-Pro wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, and All-Pro edge-rusher Micah Parsons are all in search of a new deal from the team.

Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive end and Cowboys legend Charles Haley recently joined Up & Adams to chat about the issues that Jerry Jones is facing with the contract negotiations.

“He kept backloading everything, so now he’s screwed…He’s gambled a long time and now the time is up,” Haley said.

Jerry Jones is going to have to dig deep to find a way to keep each of these players.

Prescott is coming off of the best season of his career.

He set career highs in completions (410) and touchdown passes (36), which both also led the league.

Lamb had his best season in 2023 after leading the league in receptions (135) and putting up over 1,700 yards.

Parsons had yet another outstanding defensive season by setting a career-high in sacks (14.0).

If the Cowboys lose Prescott, the team would likely struggle to contend.

Jones also has to figure out how much he can pay both Lamb and Parsons to keep them in the fold.

Losing them would be a fatal blow to the team’s Super Bowl hopes as well.
