The Pittsburgh Steelers could use some help at the safety position.
Several hometown products that are about to enter free agency have been linked to the team, such as Geno Stone and Damar Hamlin.
Needless to say, Hamlin would have an emotional homecoming, considering what he went through a couple of years ago.
HC Mike Tomlin has always had words of praise for Hamlin, who he knows pretty well, so it wouldn’t be shocking to see the team showing some sort of interest in his services.
Notably, that would be a dream come true for the former Buffalo Bills safety.
Talking at a meet and greet event put together by Steel City Collectables, the former sixth-round pick stated that he’s always dreamed of playing for his hometown team, admitting he would love to finish his career as a Pittsburgh Steeler (via Billy Leino).

Hamlin attended Central Catholic High School before committing to play at Pittsburgh.
He’s always had strong ties to the city, and he had plenty of family and friends in attendance when the Bills visited the Steelers in the preseason.
Hamlin endured one of the scariest incidents in sports history and became a huge inspiration for people all over the league.
He’s been in the league since 2021 and could still have a long career ahead of him, and it’ll be interesting to see if the Steelers are interested in bringing him back home and giving him an opportunity to fulfill his dream.
