Dan Bradbury emerges victorious at the 2024 FedEx Open de France held at Le Golf National

Dan Bradbury wins 2024 FedEx Open de France at Le Golf National

Dan Bradbury produced an impressive performance at the DP World Tour’s FedEx Open de France, exceeding his initial goal of just making the cut.

Bradbury clinched the title with a stellar final round score of 5-under 66 at Le Golf National in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France. The 25-year-old Englishman recorded four birdies on the back nine to finish at 16 under overall, securing his second career victory. Despite trailing by two strokes entering the final round, Bradbury displayed confidence early on by setting his sights on the trophy at the first tee.

When asked about where he would place the trophy, Bradbury jokingly replied, “I’ll find one.”

Bradbury emerged victorious from a closely contested leaderboard as 11 different players held or shared the lead on Sunday. Jesper Svensson from Sweden relinquished his one-stroke overnight lead, struggling to a 5-over 76 and dropping to a share of 27th place.

Bradbury experienced a stroke of luck at the 15th hole when his ball managed to stay dry, allowing him to sink a crucial 15-foot birdie putt.

Reflecting on the moment, Bradbury admitted, “Straight out pushed it. Luckily it stayed on, and I hit a horrendous putt that went in. Sometimes you just need that. Once I’d done that it felt like ‘there’s definitely something going for me.’”

In the end, Bradbury held off a strong challenge from Denmark’s Jeff Winther, who finished with a bogey-free 64. The victory not only secured Bradbury’s card for the next season but also propelled him into the top 25 in the Race to Dubai standings.

“My initial goal was just to make the cut so I didn’t have to go to Korea to secure my card,” Bradbury revealed. “Now, I guess I will be booking flights to Dubai instead.”
