Dan Orlovsky: Deion Sanders Would Prevent Shedeur from Being Drafted by Two Teams

Dan Orlovsky Believes Deion Sanders Wouldn't Let Shedeur Get Drafted By 2 Teams

It’s hard to talk about college football from the past two years and not mention the Sanders family.

Deion, of course, burst on the scene when he left Jackson State to become the Colorado football coach.

His son Shedeur is Colorado’s starting QB, and many people initially thought it was due to nepotism.

However, Shedeur is viewed as one of the top prospects in college football, and some mock drafts predict him going as high as the No. 2 overall pick.

At this moment, the Cleveland Browns would have the No. 2 overall pick, who the “33rd Team” on X projected them to take Shedeur.

However, as Dan Orlovsky highlighted on X, he’s not so sure that Deion will allow his son to go to the Browns or the Carolina Panthers.

Both teams are in rebuild mode, and it appears like it could be a few years before they’re going to be able to compete.

Some organizations are a quarterback away from taking a major leap in production, but Orlovsky is less than confident about the Panthers and Browns.

He is under the impression that Shedeur should go elsewhere, perhaps a team that has a much higher chance of making the playoffs next season.

The Panthers and Browns are technically still in contention for a playoff spot, but it would take a miracle for one of those teams to turn their season around.

With Orlovsky’s prediction in mind, it will be interesting to see where Shedeur ends up, and if his father will get any sort of say in his future.
