The Philadelphia Eagles are sitting at 2-1 after a big road win over the New Orleans Saints.
However, quarterback Jalen Hurts has thrown four interceptions to just three touchdowns through the first three weeks of the season.
After his MVP-caliber 2022 season, he threw 15 interceptions to just 23 touchdowns in 2023.
Former NFL quarterback and ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky believes Hurts has hit his peak.
“I think we’ve seen the best of Jalen Hurts…That 2022 season…I don’t think we’re going to recapture that,” Orlovsky recently said on Get Up.
“I think we’ve seen the best of Jalen Hurts. … That 2022 season and playoff stretch, that’s the high. I don’t think we’re going to recapture that.”

With Saquon Barkley now in Philadelphia, the Eagles have become more of a running team.
Hurts’s stats probably aren’t going to look as nice but even in the opportunities that he has had to throw over the last two seasons, he hasn’t looked like the 2022 superstar that he was when he recorded 35 total touchdowns and just six interceptions.
The former national champion has not thrown for over 4,000 yards yet in his career and barely has a career passer rating above 90.
Yes, he’s great with his legs when he has to be, but the NFL is a passing league at the end of the day.
This team is going to have to be more productive through the air as the season moves along, especially with Barkley’s injury history.
This team cannot afford to be one-dimensional against teams like the San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers in the playoffs if they get there.
The Eagles will face the team that ended their season last year, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this Sunday on the road.
