Following a decisive victory for the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, former NBA champion Danny Green anticipates a more competitive series once Mavericks’ star Kyrie Irving finds his rhythm.

While Luka Doncic showcased his scoring prowess with a 30-point performance, Irving struggled to make an impact, tallying just 12 points on 6-of-19 shooting.

Despite the Mavericks’ sluggish start to the series, Green remains optimistic about their potential to challenge the Celtics once Irving adjusts to the Finals stage.

During an episode of The Draymond Green Show, Green emphasized the importance of Irving settling into his role and expressed confidence in the Mavericks’ ability to elevate their performance.

“Once [Luka Doncic] settled in, he’s found something… Now [Kyrie Irving] just has to settle in. Once that happens… We’re gonna have a series,” he said.

As the series progresses, all eyes will be on Irving and the Mavericks as they seek to bounce back from their Game 1 defeat and mount a formidable challenge to the Celtics’ title aspirations.
