Career High for Nagal

India’s Sumit Nagal also makes his Top 100 debut this week, becoming the 10th Indian man to ever hold a top 100 running. The 26-year-old did not drop a set en route to the Chennai Challenger title last week. At the Australian Open Nagal became the first Indian man to upset a seeded player at a Grand Slam since 1989 when he defeated Alexander Bublik, the No.27 seed, in the first round.

Humbert Flying the Flag

Ugo Humbert was huge in Marseille last week, winning his fifth ATP title at the Open 13 Provence in spectacular fashion. The 25-year-old improved to a perfect 5-0 in ATP finals and rises this week to a career-high No.18 in the ATP rankings – he’s also the top-ranked Frenchman.

Other Risers

American Marcos Giron is also on the rise this week. He reached his second career final at the Dallas Open, before falling to Tommy Paul in a three-set final. For his efforts he jumps 15 spots from 67 to 52 to move three spots from his all-time career-high.

Paul, who claimed his second ATP title and first since 2021, rises one spot to No.14, vaulting Frances Tiafoe, who falls one spot.

China’s Zhang Zhizhen (+3 to 47) and Czech Tomas Machac (+ 4 to 62) also hit career-high rankings.

There were no changes inside the ATP’s Top-10.

Novak Djokovic begins his record 412th week at No.1.
