Darko Rajakovic: Raptors need to bring more defensive physicality and energy

Toronto Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic feels like the team isn’t defending like they did early on (5-game losing streak/9-14 record).

(via Toronto Raptors):

Reporter: “Through the first quarter of the season, what have you liked from your guys so far and what do you feel as a team overall you can improve with a good sample size thus far?”

Rajakovic: “I think we’re making some strides offensively, the ball movement is good, we’re playing more of team basketball on the offensive end. Defensively, we started the season pretty well, we were pretty aggressive, and for whatever reason lately we did not do a good enough job bringing that physicality and energy that defense demands in this league. That’s something that we need to improve on.”
