Davante Adams Shares If Basketball Could Be an Option

Davante Adams Reveals If He Could Play In The NBA

It has been said that all athletes want to be rock stars, and all rock stars want to be athletes.

Apparently, some athletes have aspirations – or at least the confidence – that they could also be stars in other sports.

Consider the example of talented wide receiver Davante Adams, a three-time All-Pro and six-time Pro Bowler.

The current Las Vegas Raider has a remarkable stretch of four consecutive seasons with at least 100 receptions, including 123 in his last campaign in Green Bay.

But to hear him tell it, his skills could also be useful in another professional sport.

Adams told former NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson on the All Facts No Brakes podcast that he could absolutely play in the NBA.

A recent declaration by former basketball star Austin Rivers that NBA players could play in the NFL but not vice versa was mentioned by Johnson.

Adams rebutted the claim, asserting that no one could immediately transition from one league to the other.

The differences in skills are obviously immense.

But Adams explained that if a player such as himself trained in preparation for an NBA career like he worked to be an NFL star, he could “100%” succeed in basketball.

The wide receiver clarified that he was not saying he would have stepped onto the NBA hardwood and been LeBron James.

However, Adams believes he could definitely play, and he issued a warning to those who suppose they could move from the NBA to the NFL.

The level of physicality is like nothing they’ve ever experienced, and it would come as quite a shock.
