Deebo Samuel Doubles Down On ‘Trash’ Comment About Eagles Defender

The San Francisco 49ers have an 8-3 record and have reestablished themselves as a legitimate Super Bowl contender after a three-game losing streak by winning their last two games.

They easily got past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 11, and on Thanksgiving Day, they outclassed the division-rival Seattle Seahawks, 31-13.

San Francisco’s biggest test of the season thus far will come this Sunday when they visit the Philadelphia Eagles, the defending NFC champions who have the NFL’s best record at 10-1.

Months ago, 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel talked trash about Eagles star James Bradberry, and per Ari Meirov, he said he doesn’t regret calling the cornerback “trash.”

Bradberry was named to the Pro Bowl in 2020 as a member of the New York Giants, and so far this year, he has 11 passes defended and an interception.

Samuel may not be the best offensive weapon the Niners have, but some feel he is their X-factor.

He not only catches passes, but he can also line up as a running back — in fact, he has more rushing touchdowns (three) than receiving touchdowns (one) this season.

Samuel has recorded 34 catches for 474 yards plus 138 yards on 26 rushing attempts this year.

The one weakness Philly has is their pass defense, which ranks near the bottom of the NFL in yards and touchdowns given up.

Exposing that deficiency could be the key to the 49ers leaving the Delaware Valley with their biggest statement win in quite some time, and Samuel will have to play a big role in doing so.
