Chicago Bulls star DeMar DeRozan has opened up about his feelings towards Houston Rockets forward Dillon Brooks, revealing a candid dislike for his opponent.
During a recent episode of The 25/10 Show, DeRozan didn’t mince words when discussing the altercation he had with Brooks, stemming from a contentious on-court incident.
“I’m not going to lie, I just don’t like him,” DeRozan asserted, via ClutchPoints. “And for two, don’t walk up behind me, that’s rule number one, don’t walk up on no man behind him when his back’s turned.”
The heated exchange occurred during a game in Houston, sparked by DeRozan’s hard foul on Jalen Green in the third quarter.
Subsequently, Brooks approached DeRozan, leading to a physical confrontation and both players being ejected from the game with flagrant fouls.
While such confrontations are not uncommon in the NBA, DeRozan’s frank admission of his feelings towards Brooks adds an intriguing narrative to future encounters between the Bulls and Rockets.
