DeMar DeRozan’s name dragged into Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s feud

DeMar DeRozan

DeMar DeRozan was name-dropped by Kendrick Lamar amid his highly publicised rap beef with Drake.

“I’m glad DeRoz’ came home, ya’ll didn’t deserve him neither,” Lamar raps on “Not Like Us.”

Kendrick is referencing DeRozan leaving the Toronto Raptors, Drake’s hometown ballclub and the team he serves as a global ambassador for.

When Lamar says “home”, he appears to be referring to DeRozan leaving Canada and coming back to the United States.

DeRozan was traded from Toronto to San Antonio in 2018. He then joined the Chicago Bulls in 2021.

DeRozan and Lamar are friends and are both from Compton.

DeRozan is yet to react to the mention publicly, but it’s quite a beef he finds himself in the middle of.

On May 3, Drake accused Lamar of being a domestic abuser in his track “Family Matters”. Lamar responded less than an hour later with “Meet the Grahams, in which he accuses Drake of being a sexual predator and suggests he is hiding a second child.
