The Baltimore Ravens were the presumptive favorites to win Super Bowl LVIII throughout the 2023 NFL season as they were the most consistent and well-rounded team in the league.
Spearheaded by another MVP-caliber season from Lamar Jackson, the Ravens thumped through the regular season before meeting their end at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.
While it was a disappointing end to their season, Baltimore is still projected to be one of the best teams in the AFC.
Despite losing some key free agents, the Ravens did make a splash as they signed Derrick Henry to a two-year deal.
Henry was a dominant force with the Tennessee Titans, but slowed down in 2023 as he split snaps with fellow running back Tyjae Spears.
However, Henry still believes in himself and is looking forward to proving any doubters wrong in 2024 via The Rich Eisen Show.
“People will always have something to say, people are always going to talk. I just trust in my training and what I do and let it show once that time comes,” Henry said.
At 30 years old, Henry is on the downswing of his career but has proven he can still be a valuable contributor for a team.
Henry has been a workhorse almost the entirety of his career and should fit in well with the Ravens who prefer to run the football.
Paired with Jackson, Baltimore should have the toughest run game to defend and it’ll be exciting to see what Henry can do in a new system that plays to his strengths.
