The Philadelphia Eagles have both of their star wide receivers in A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith locked up for years to come.
Both are slated to be in Philly for the next three or four seasons.
Smith specifically made it a point in front of the Philadelphia media to chat about why he is completely happy with his current contract situation, via Dov Kleiman.
“You can’t be counting the pockets of others. I’m where I want to be. At the end of the day, it’s still life-changing for me,” Smith recently stated.
Awesome: #Eagles WR Devonta Smith is not worried about other receivers making more money than him:

This is exactly the mentality that teams love to see from their stars.
Once you’ve gotten paid, it’s done.
Now, it’s time to go play.
Smith is the under-appreciated Robin to Brown’s Batman.
Brown will steal headlines because he is the big, physical All-Pro wide receiver.
However, Smith is quietly one of the more productive stars in the National Football League.
After winning the Heisman Trophy, along with a couple of national titles at Alabama, he was drafted by Philly at pick No. 10 overall in 2021.
He hasn’t looked back since then.
Across his first three seasons at the pro level, he has recorded over 3,100 yards receiving on 240 catches.
He has eclipsed 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons and has brought in a total of 176 receptions in between 2022 and 2023.
The life of quarterback Jalen Hurts has been made easier because of the quality of play that teammates like Smith bring.
Heading into 2024, this is a potential duo that defenses might not want to mess with.
