One of the keys to success on offense for the Seattle Seahawks over the past few years has been the passing game, with veteran quarterback Geno Smith coming into his own while creating some chemistry with wide receivers DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

After starting the 2024 NFL season with three straight wins, the Seahawks fell into a downward spiral, losing their last three games against the Detroit Lions, New York Giants and the division-rival San Francisco 49ers.

In an attempt to stop the bleeding and salvage the season, the Seahawks went on the road in Week 7 to take on Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in a game that was expected to be a battle between two potential playoff teams in the NFC.

Fortunately for the Seahawks, Smith and company were able to get the win in Atlanta on Sunday, ending their losing streak and providing hope that they can get back on track this season.

Unfortunately, according to Seahawks reporter John Boyle, Metcalf suffered a knee injury in the win, which head coach Mike Macdonald talked about after the game.

“Banged his knee a little bit. It doesn’t look too bad,” Macdonald said.

It seems as though Macdonald isn’t viewing Metcalf’s injury to be a serious one, which is obviously great news for the Seahawks, as losing him for any length of time would prove costly to this team’s efficiency on the offensive side of the football.

In the win over the Falcons, Metcalf caught four passes for a game-high 99 receiving yards and a touchdown.
