With Tua Tagovailoa’s return still unconfirmed, the Miami Dolphins keep making moves.

Mike McDaniel’s team will need to hold down the fort for at least another week.

With that in mind, the Dolphins made some roster changes ahead of their Week 7 game against the Indianapolis Colts.

“We have signed QB Tim Boyle to the active roster off the practice squad and placed LS Blake Ferguson on the reserve/non-football illness. We also signed LS Matt Overton to the practice squad and elevated him and CB Nik Needham to the active roster,” the team said on X.”

Boyle spent time on their practice squad and now will be available as a backup to Tyler Huntley.

Skylar Thompson is the other quarterback on the Dolphins’ active roster, with Tagovailoa reportedly aiming to get back on the field in Week 8 against the Arizona Cardinals.

The elevation of Overton comes after starting long snapper Blake Ferguson was placed on the reserve/non-football illness list.

The Colts are dealing with a quarterback injury of their own.

Second-year player Anthony Richardson has missed time with a hip injury, but he’s expected to reclaim his starting job from Joe Flacco.

The Dolphins’ once-explosive offense has been held in check with Tagovailoa out with a concussion suffered in Week 2.

But despite things not going their way, Miami is 2-3 and should have plenty of opportunities to turn things around this season, starting against Richardson and the Colts.
