Donny van de Beek Completes Medical at Girona – Man United Player News and Transfer Update

Manchester United refuse to let Donny van de Beek leave on a free - Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has reportedly passed his medical ahead of a permanent transfer to La Liga outfit Girona.

United signed Van de Beek from Ajax in 2020 for £40m. Despite high expectations, he struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford, starting only four Premier League games in his first season.

After unsuccessful loan spells at Everton and Eintracht Frankfurt, Van de Beek found himself on the verge of joining Girona for a nominal fee.

A report by The Peoples Person revealed that Girona agreed to pay just €500,000 (£420,000) to United for Van de Beek’s transfer.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano explained that United would recoup most of their initial investment through add-ons and bonuses, potentially raising the total fee to €5m (£4.2m).

Romano later disclosed that Girona were close to finalizing personal terms with Van de Beek, who had successfully completed his medical examination without any issues.

According to journalist Nil Solà, Van de Beek has signed a contract with Girona until 2028.
