Draymond Green Gives Thoughts on Klay Thompson’s Decision to Unfollow Warriors

Klay

Klay Thompson’s longtime teammate Draymond Green has shared his reaction to Klay unfollowing the Warriors on his Instagram page.

Thompson unfollowed the Warriors on June 15, but is still following the G League affiliate team.

Plenty of disgruntled athletes have unfollowed their team and archived posts in the past.

But since rumors of Thompson hitting free agency have been rife for months, many fans are taking the move as confirmation that Klay will be moving on this summer.

But Green thinks it’s pretty laughable that people are reading into it so much.

“I know all of you were probably looking forward to me talking about Klay unfollowing the Warriors, deleting some IG posts or something,” Green said on The Draymond Green Show. “I had no idea that happened. I think it’s f**king hilarious. Just so y’all know I laughed when [his producer Jackson’s] like, ‘What about Klay?’ and I’m like, ‘What happened?’ and he’s like, ‘He unfollowed the Warriors.’

“I think that’s comical. I know you all want somebody’s feelings to be hurt or something. It ain’t that, ain’t never going to be that. That’s hilarious.”

Green has been teammates with Thompson for his entire 12-year career in the league.

Green, Klay and Steph Curry have won four championships with the Dubs and built their own dynasty there.

Draymond and Steph as well as Golden State head coach Steve Kerr and GM Mike Dunleavy Jr. have all said that they’d like to have Klay back next season, but their luxury tax bill certainly isn’t getting any smaller.

Teams like the Lakers, Knicks and Magic have apparent interest in the veteran guard.
