Dubai Creek named as UAE’s best golf resort – Golf News

Dubai Creek named as UAE’s best golf resort – Golf News

Dubai Creek Resort has been named as one of the world’s best golf resorts, placing at #43 as a new entry in the Golf World Top 100 World Resorts ranking in 2023.

The announcement comes as the resort recently played host to the DP World Tour’s action-packed Dubai Invitational which saw Tommy Fleetwood claim victory over Rory McIlroy in a dramatic Sunday shootout.

Following a recent merger, the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, with its iconic sail-shaped clubhouse, sits within the Dubai Creek Resort alongside the luxurious Park Hyatt Dubai. This recent ranking positions Dubai Creek Resort as the number one placed golf resort in the UAE, and it was lauded by Golf World as ‘one of the Middle East’s best’.

David Taggart, General Manager of Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, commented: “We are delighted to be featured as a new entry at #43 into Golf World’s Top 100 World Resorts rankings list. We have only been operating as a resort for a couple of years now, so this position is a welcome reward for the hard work that we have been doing in collaboration with the Park Hyatt Dubai.

“Dubai Creek Resort is one of the world’s best golf resorts, and we are excited to see how high we can climb as we continue to develop and enhance our offering. Hosting the recent Dubai Invitational was a key milestone in us telling the story of Dubai Creek Resort to the world, where the best golfers in the world competed for a prestigious title while enjoying a relaxed off-course environment that enabled them to enjoy precious time with family and friends. That is what Dubai Creek Resort is all about,” he added.

The Riviera-style resort is located in the north of the city, in close proximity to Dubai International Airport, along the bank of a tranquil creek that creates cityscape views. The club features an 18-hole championship course, in addition to a 9-hole par-3 course, a golf academy, six restaurants and bars, a gymnasium, tropical swimming pool, and a 122-berth marina.

Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club has a prestigious history, as Dubai’s second oldest golf course. The club recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, having first opened back in 1993 and it was also home to the first ever golf academy in the Middle East.

From an inspired assortment of award-winning restaurants to a luxury destination spa, every moment at Park Hyatt Dubai is curated to ensure a sophisticated and enriching experience. The resort hotel offers creek-view rooms and villas for whatever suits your needs. In January, Dubai Creek Resort hosted the first DP World Tour event of 2024 – the Dubai Invitational. Sixty of the DP World Tour’s top players were invited to the showcase event. Two of Team Europe’s Ryder Cup stars, Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood, battled it out until the very final hole – Fleetwood eventually coming out on top, with a birdie on 18 after McIlroy succumbed to the challenging closing tee shot.
