Endrick Open to Loan Move from Real Madrid in January
According to sources, Endrick is considering a departure from Real Madrid this January, as negotiations for a potential loan deal are underway. The 19-year-old Brazilian forward has yet to make an appearance in LaLiga this season, despite having recovered from an injury that sidelined him since May.
During a recent LaLiga match against Getafe, Endrick expressed his frustration after being left on the bench. After warming up on the sidelines, he visibly reacted by kicking a water bottle onto the field when informed he wouldn’t be substituted in the game, prompting sources to label the incident as “the last straw.”
In July, reports emerged that Madrid were contemplating a loan move for Endrick to facilitate his development, but at that time, the forward preferred to stay at the club.
Real Madrid secured Endrick’s transfer from Palmeiras in 2022, but the official transfer was finalized in July 2024, coinciding with his 18th birthday, with the player signing a six-year contract. The deal was valued at €72 million ($83.6 million), making it the highest transfer in Brazilian football history.
During his first season (2024-25), Endrick logged only 354 minutes in LaLiga, scoring once, though he managed five goals in the Copa del Rey.
He sustained a hamstring injury in May and faced a setback during the summer, causing him to miss the Club World Cup, an opportunity during which fellow young forward Gonzalo García shined.
Reports earlier this week indicated that several European clubs, including Marseille, have shown interest in Endrick for a January transfer.
In the recent match against Getafe, coach Xabi Alonso chose to bring on García and Brahim Díaz as substitutes, instead of Endrick, despite his warm-up efforts in the second half.
