Enzo Maresca Links to Manchester City Amid Chelsea Uncertainty

Enzo Maresca, currently at the helm of Chelsea, is rumored to be a target for Manchester City.
After facing a series of managerial changes in recent seasons, Chelsea may once again be on the lookout for a new head coach in 2026. Maresca, who has shown remarkable potential since taking charge at Stamford Bridge, could be considering an opportunity elsewhere.
Recent reports from Mick Brown suggest that Maresca is open to a move to Manchester City as the successor to Pep Guardiola.
“Maresca is certainly a viable option when Guardiola eventually departs. He possesses strong ties to City and understands the club’s culture, making him an attractive candidate,” Brown stated.
“There are some ambiguous remarks Maresca has made at Chelsea that leave people wondering about his satisfaction at the club, as he hasn’t provided clear answers,” he continued.
“Taking all factors into account, it wouldn’t be surprising if he was contemplating a return to Manchester City. If they decide he’s the right choice to take over from Pep, he could very well be tempted to leave Chelsea.”
Should Chelsea Be Concerned About Maresca’s Potential Departure?
Given Maresca’s emotional ties to Manchester City, a move there in the near future wouldn’t be unexpected. This potential development could pose a significant challenge for Chelsea, especially considering Maresca’s success since he took over the managerial role.
