Some reports are finally starting to come out about former Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy.
One interesting story, according to The Washington Post, is about Bieniemy’s strict rule when it came to how players wore their hats.
The offensive players were not allowed to wear their hats backward under Bieniemy, who came over from Kansas City to be the team’s offensive coordinator in 2023.
“Last year, I was not allowed to wear my hat backwards,” veteran guard Sam Cosmi recently said.

The former running back and Super Bowl champion assistant clearly wanted his players to carry themselves a certain way, which is fine if results come with that.
But, in his lone season as Washington’s offensive coordinator, the team finished 24th in total offense and ended the year with a record of 4-13.
That is why former head coach Ron Rivera, Bieniemy himself, and nearly the entire staff were fired this offseason.
Bieniemy is now the offensive coordinator for UCLA.
New head coach Dan Quinn, who wears his hat backward often, will look to change the fortunes of the once-great franchise.
If he does, he can make fans forget all about this last rough chapter of football in Washington.
