The Las Vegas Raiders thought they had found their guy, but that might not be the case anymore.
Former Arizona Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury was reportedly set to become their new offensive coordinator.
Then, out of the blue, he withdrew himself from that consideration, according to his agent and ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Needless to say, this led to a lot of speculation around the league, with most people thinking he may have a better or more appealing offer in place now.
That includes NFL analyst Colin Cowherd, who took to Twitter to share his predictions on the matter.
Apparently, Cowherd believes Kingsbury will head east instead to work under Dan Quinn and become the next offensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders.
Heading East. Very East. #commanders https://t.co/TqP3LkAWg7

Notably, this wouldn’t be much of a surprise, as the Commanders desperately crave some fresh ideas on offense after being one of the worst units in the league his season, and Kingsbury is one of the best offensive minds in the game.
Then again, they still need to figure out what to do with their quarterback situation, and some speculate they could put together a huge trade package for the No .1 pick to get Caleb Williams, who worked with Kingsbury at USC as his QB coach.
That could also have a big ripple effect around the league, as Eric Bieniemy would once again become a free agent, and he could either return to the Kansas City Chiefs or become one of the most sought-after assistants around the league.
