Ex-Mavericks Player Claims Tension Between Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis

Former Mavs player Chandler Parsons predicts tension between Kyrie Irving and Boston fans, as well as tension between Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis in the NBA Finals.

Parsons shared on Run It Back that Dallas fans don’t like Porzingis, revealing an ongoing beef between Doncic and Porzingis.

He emphasized the intensity of games against former teams and the desire to prove oneself in such matchups, especially during the NBA Finals.

Porzingis was traded to Dallas in 2019 after recovering from a torn ACL that sidelined him during his fourth season with the Knicks. He played briefly alongside Luka before suffering a meniscus tear during the 2020 playoffs.

However, he was traded to the Wizards in 2022 along with a second-round pick in exchange for Davis Bertans at the trade deadline.

During their time together in Dallas, they played 110 games, with Porzingis acknowledging tension with Doncic due to communication and maturity issues.

Porzingis clarified in a different interview that he and Luka are on good terms, but the Dallas crowd may hold a different opinion.
